Background
We are a Registered Charity & Social Enterprise formed to manage The Carrick Centre, a purpose-built Community Facility which opened in January 2012 as a focal point for community regeneration. We re-invest our income in sustaining and developing the Centre as a community asset.

Team
We work with a small team of part time staff and volunteers to provide opportunities and community services for people of all ages providing a welcoming, safe, modern, flexible environment to meet, greet, play & learn, socialise and do business. Volunteering is a crucial part of our operation and this support helps us achieve the service we provide today.

Partnership
Adopting values of inclusiveness & openness we work in partnership with other organisations to improve the quality of life for residents in North Carrick and are keen to support new ventures and develop new partnerships with other organisations who share our vision.

Anchor Organisation
Supported and recognised as a community anchor organisation by the Scottish Government we are responsible for developing and managing a programme of community activities and services, in line with community needs. In this role we assist in the start-up of groups and services and support them as they stabilise and grow to enable them to provide a long term provision. Support ranges from: affordable accommodation, staffing, volunteer support, sign-posting, partnering with other groups, promotion, funding etc.

The Present
As a main hub of social activity in Maybole and the surrounding area we have grown to support over 80 diverse groups who regularly use the premises as well as develop our own groups and services and have an annual footfall exceeding 30,000.

For nearly a decade The Carrick Centre has provided opportunities and community services for people of all ages and abilities delivered by a warm, welcoming staff, fabulous volunteers and supported by great partners and funders all who are fundamental to the continued success and development of our services for our community.

We look forward to welcoming to you to the Centre.
