Maidens World Ocean Day Festival -  10th & 11th June 2023

Start the day with seaside Yoga, music and bar Saturday evening, craft fair and speakers – Marine Biologist and Under Water Photographer Doug Allan and local basking shark/fisherman legend Howard McCrindle. Monday 12th is dedicated to enlightening North Carrick Primary 4/5 pupils with work stations and interaction with Howard and Doug. Environmental Presentations

To support our aims and highlight the value of our ‘blue’ planet we will hear from local environmentalists and lovers of the sea with some short talks on the Sunday afternoon (11th June).
There is no fee to attend, though you can choose to make a donation to our event partners, RNLI & NTS, on the day. Join us at the marquee off Harbour Road, KA26 9NR, from 2.45pm onwards.

SUNDAY EVENTS

Craft Fair

Sunday 11th June sees our Craft Fair comes to the harbour. With 20 varied stalls including candles, soaps, handbags, resin art, canvas art, ropework, cakes, gifts...
10am – 12.30, entry is free.
Free parking is available off Harbour Road, KA26 9NR & accessible toilet facilities are on site. In support of our environmental cause, please bring your own bags to collect your purchases in! Refrehments are available in the village, so don’t forget your refillable water bottle & keep cups too!

Sunday Events

Dalmellington Brass Band

To kick off our Sunday afternoon, we have one of Scotland’s oldest brass bands: Dalmellington Band coming all the way from East Ayrshire to entertain you. We will be treated to an hour of their favourites tunes under canvas beside Maidens Harbour. Over the years they have won every major competition trophy in Scotland, so we are really honoured they have decided to support Maidens World Ocean Day Festival. Parking is available off Harbour Road, KA26 9NR

Seaside Yoga

Join us for a revitalising start to your day with local yogi Ruth.

The classes are suitable for all – beginners are most welcome! Please bring your own mat or large towel. Classes will run 8-8.45 am on 10th & 11th June. You can find us in the marquee opposite Wildings Hotel. Parking & bathroom facilities are available!
